About Karuah Activated Turmeric for Joint Health
If you’re dealing with uncomfortable joints or serious joint pain, Karuah Activated Turmeric can provide relief. The curcumin found in turmeric is an excellent anti-inflammatory and can also help with joint support. And when activated, our turmeric is a great source of organo-sulphur and wild-food phytonutrients.
We activate our turmeric with piperine from black pepper and mix it with wild foods including Illawarra plum, Rainforest lime, Kakadu plum and mountain pepper for additional health benefits. You can learn more about all this here.
Our Karuah Activated Turmeric is released slowly into your system via capsules to ensure the mixture gets through your stomach and to the intestines. This way, your gut flora can take care of it and counteract some of the effects of stress, poor diet, and inadequate exercise, as well as alleviate some of the symptoms of chronic joint pain or joint arthritis.
Active Ingredients for Inflammation Relief
In addition to turmeric, Karuah Activated Turmeric also contains numerous other active ingredients that are beneficial to your health. These include:
Enzymes for Metainflammation
The wild foods in our turmeric are packed with live enzymes – living enzymes that are hugely beneficial for overall health.
Live enzymes attack the scar-like tissues left behind from metaflammation (metabolic inflammation) reactions, senescent (non-active) cells, and other effects of aging. And pineapple core is a good source of the enzyme bromelain, acting as a cleaner for your body.
To leave things squeaky clean and operating in top form, bromelain breaks down and removes blockages and waste in your vessels, lymphatics, and more.
Methyl Sulfonylmethane (MSM)
Our Activated Turmeric also includes MSM (methyl sulfonylmethane), which is rich in organic sulphur (around 34%). Sulfur is one of the most prevalent minerals in the human body, coming in a close second to calcium and phosphorus. Because of the effect it has on connective tissues, joints and muscles and skin, and how it supports skin elasticity, it’s great for reducing the effects of aging and keeping your skin healthy.
It has many of the same anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects as turmeric, which is why we’ve included it in our Activated Turmeric.
What are the best supplements for joint pain?
While turmeric is excellent for joint pain (we think it’s the best available), there are a number of other supplements you may be able to get results with. Some of the most popular supplements available include:
Glucosamine is known to help reduce inflammation and keep cartilage healthy. Glucosamine levels drop as you age, and may be a cause of joint pain. Some studies have shown that supplementing it can reduce joint pain and maintain joint health, but results are inconclusive. It’s also available in several forms, including glucosamine sulfate, glucosamine hydrochloride, and N-acetyl glucosamine, some of which may have better effects depending on the individual.
Chondroitin is another supplement that helps to reduce inflammation and keep cartilage healthy. It has also been shown to improve joint function in some studies. However, while it is popular, similar to Glucosamine there are no conclusive results that prove it is helpful for joint pain.
Fish Oil (Omega-3 Fatty Acids)
Fish oil is a type of fat that contains omega-3 fatty acids. These are known to have anti-inflammatory effects, which may help to reduce joint pain. It works by reducing inflammation, which is one of the root causes of arthritis. Some studies have shown that fish oil can in fact help relieve symptoms of arthritis, but more research is needed.
Vitamin D is essential for healthy bones, as it helps the body to absorb calcium. Because of this it can help with keeping joints strong and pain free, though it may be more prevention than cure. Either way, Vitamin D is very good for your body and worth a look into whether you are suffering from joint pain or not.
Can Activated Turmeric Joint Supplements Help with Rheumatoid arthritis symptoms?
Turmeric’s anti-inflammatory properties can have an effect on arthritis pain, though this may vary from person to person. Of course, any joint health supplements for chronic conditions should be taken with advice from a health professional. If you’re struggling with treating joint pain or knee pain, speak to your local doctor first before testing supplements.
